How to choose a piston pump

1. Make the type and performance of the selected piston pump meet the requirements of the process parameters such as flow, head, pressure, temperature, cavitation flow, and suction lift of the device.
2. The requirements of the medium characteristics must be satisfied.
Shaft seals are required to be reliable or to accept non-leakage pumps, for piston pumps transporting flammable, explosive, toxic or valuable media. Such as magnetic drive pumps, barrier pumps, and canned pumps
Convection parts are required to adopt corrosion resistance materials, and pumps transporting corrosive media are required. Such as AFB stainless steel corrosion-resistant pump, CQF engineering plastic magnetic drive pump.
Convection components are required to accept wear-resistant materials for pumps transporting media containing solid particles. If necessary, the shaft seal should be flushed with a clean liquid.
3. The machine has high reliability, low noise and low vibration.
4. Economically, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the total cost of setting up equipment deployment costs, operating costs, maintenance costs, and handling costs.
5. The centrifugal pump has the characteristics of high speed, small size, light weight, high obedience, large flow, simple layout, no pulsation of infusion, stable performance, easy operation and convenient maintenance.
Centrifugal pumps should be used as much as possible: Therefore, except in the following environments.
Choose a metering pump. aWhen there is a measurement requirement.
When the flow rate is small and there is no high-head centrifugal pump with small flow rate, the B-head requirements are very high. Reciprocating pumps can be selected, and vortex pumps can also be used when cavitation requirements are not high.
When the flow rate is large, the c-head is very low, and axial flow pumps and mixed-flow pumps can be selected.
It is possible to consider the selection of rotary lobe pump or reciprocating pump (gear pump, screw pump) D medium viscosity is large (greater than 650~1000mm2/hour.
A vortex pump is optional. e. The medium contains 75%, the flow rate is small, and the viscosity is less than 37.4mm2/hour.
A pump with self-priming performance should be selected, and the frequency of starting or the filling of the pump is not convenient. Such as self-priming centrifugal pumps, self-priming vortex pumps, pneumatic (electric) barrier pumps
